定額で電子書籍が読み放題になるサービス、Amazonの「Kindle Unlimited」が日本でもスタートしましたね。私も早速お試し登録しました。

やはり新刊本や学術書のラインナップはまだ少ないようですが、今後どんどん増えていくでしょう。

学術書は、油断しているとすぐに品切れになるものも多いので、電子書籍化は嬉しいです。

ほんとうは学術書こそ、どんどん無料で提供していくべきだと私は思うのですが。

もちろん書き手・作り手の活動資金は必要ですが、こうしたサービスが登場した以上は、送り手と受け手双方にとってよりよい、新しいレギュレーションを考えていく必要があるでしょう。
